Can you keep a secret?

Well, I can't and if I really have to keep my mouth shut it will be pure torture! The last time I had to keep a secret, I became so anxious that I got exzema all over my hands. I know that I should wait until the swap ends but the deadline is May 28th. Can I keep a secret for a month?Obviously not! I'm part of the Functional Felt Swap organized by Painted fish studio and Three sneaky bugs. I think that it's an interesting swap because, as much as I love dust gathering items (aka my little softies collection), it's always interesting to get something that has a real purpuse. Even if deeply I think that gathering dust is a crucial function in life ;) So, after I received by e-mail my swap partner's favorite colours, I purchased nice wool felt and made a card case and a lined pouch. I'm a strong believer in "simple is better". I also think that a good quality felt, a colorful vintage ribbon and an attention to details can make a simple item quite attractive. Right? Now, I can't mail that pouch empty! What should I put in it?

I recommend either a) dust or b) something to catch dust (perhaps a feather duster?! felt cleaning mitt?)

well, your secret is no longer a secret for me! :) i love what you've made, and oh dear... i'm freaked out because i haven't come up with what i'm making yet... and you're already done.

it's ok to be done already! but if you'd like to wait, that's ok. but don't forget to send your photos to the FFS pool!

I was wondering what the "Functional Swap" was that you told me about...and here I see. Good job on the items you made and I like the colors too.

One of these days I'd like to be in a Swap...but, I don't know of what yet. Maybe when Christmas rolls around we should have one...an Ornament Swap maybe...Yeah! I can see it now! Of course...you'll have to tell me how they work so I can start thinking about it.

So, so pretty! Nice work. Love the button and the perfectly coordinated pieces.

I am about 1/3 of the way finished with mine and am loving it. I am going to try to keep mine a secret, thought that will be tough for me. Felt is fun.

It's so cute! Your swap partner is sure to love it!
As for something to put inside....
I can see a sweet little seed packet or note pad or maybe a yummy lip gloss. Or there is always the old stand-by...a chocolate bar! ;)

Well I think you take such awesome pictures, maybe you should have a card set made from your favorite pictures and put those in. Just an idea.

I have to agree with Jo-ann and Melinda - who doesn't like chocolate? To be specific, a fleur de sel milk chocolate bar from Les Chocolats de Chloe on Roy & St. Denis (if the pouch is the right size)...
