Hey sailor!

For the past few days I have been dreaming of going to the beach. Walking slowly with my husband, smelling the ocean breeze, feeling the wind in my hair...screaming at my dog to stop eating "sea junk". Dreaming is nice because there is not a single decent sea side in Montreal. I also have a confession to make. The reason I have nautical fantasies is probably because lately I have been talking a lot about lobsters. On the 28th, I will be responsible for the genocide of almost 2000 poor little (not that little actually!) losbters at a fancy dinner party that I organized at work. This event is also the reason why I didn't do much crafts, answered much e-mails or commented on much posts! In exactly one week, things will be back to normal. In the mean time: green or white napkins, strawberries or raspberries sauce, organic coffee or not?

Your post made me think of this fabric: http://www.alternativeoutfitters.com/productimages/bungalow360/B360EvaSeaHorseTote_det1.jpg

Good luck with the event!

I hope that the party goes well!
I can tell you there is nothing better than the seaside - even when, like here in Scotland, it's freezing cold!

Perhaps the sea will just need to come to you!!

I know the party will be great! I think white napkins, raspberry sauce and I don't do coffee, so I don't know?

Love the whate earrings and the stone buttons! Too cute! I'll have to go and visit those sites!

Best of luck for the 28th! I'll be thinking of you... :)

Good luck, how do you manage the pressure of events like that? I could never do it!

Good luck with the party! I agree with Erin, white napkins, raspberry sauce (much easier to make a large quantity) and definitely organic coffee!

hoping you will find your way to a lovely seaside soon, in the meantime, all that lobster has to be some consolation! :)

Oh my! I will pray for the soul of the lobsters... vegetarian me ;)

I am loving the quilt. when you sew the sandwich together can you use a walking foot? I don't know if anybody suggested it but it would help you greatly if you use strait lines.

That's an awful lot of lobsters! :)

I'd love to make it to the beach. While it's not too far, the weather has been cold here in California. Today the sun is out, for the first time in three days. A week ago it was perfect beach weather - 105 at the highest. Now it's 60. Go figure. The beach will have to wait.

Good luck on the dinner!

Hope all goes well with your big lobster dinner - sounds delicious!

I really don't appreciate living just steps from the sea as much as I should. I think today I'll go for a walk along the shore and try to see the beach like a person from the middle of the country would. I think I'll appreciate it in a new way.

Have fun with your planning! I've gone missing myself too. I think I've recovered from the trip and am back now.

White napkins.

Murderer! You'd better go with organic coffee to make up for your sins ;-)
