week 14

I have the feeling that I slowly emerge from a long and difficult journey. For the past few days, I have more control over my life and I think that I might even enjoy this new phase of my pregnancy.

The first trimester was not what I expected. The urge to tell the good news got quickly replaced by a fear of losing the embryo (stressful news after the first echography at 6 weeks), constant sickness (even with the anti-nausea pill), incredible fatigue and a lack of entousiasm regarding my ability to carry a child for nine months.

But at 14 weeks, the wind is changing and I look at this with a positive eye. We even went on a little trip last week!

I was worried about you when you went all quiet but I know exactly how you feel. I previously had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and this new pregnancy (I'm now 20 weeks) has been a complete wow-I-made-it-another-day. You'll feel more confident once the little bugger starts kicking :¬)

I'm glad that things are taking a turn for the better. I had morning sickness the whole 9 months with both of my pregnancies and a really weird test result meant that I was tested constantly for different things with my first. I've got 2 wonderful - and healthy - kids now, but I shake my head at those women that say they enjoy being pregnant! I hope that the rest of your pregnancy is an easy one. Take care,

Glad to hear thing are better. I had really bad nausea too but am over it now. Just breathe. Everything is going to be fine. Being pregnant is definitely not easy but the birth of your child is so worth all the uncomfortable physical changes that you will go through. Take care.

It was so nice to see your post come up :) Pregnancy for me was way more difficult than expected, as I too had some unexpected occurrences come about that were, at times, quite difficult to bear. I'm so glad to hear that your situation is changing for the better. It is hard to relax and enjoy it, but do try, I sort of wish I had a bit more with my little one. Best wishes :)

"a sick mommy is healthy baby" that's what kept me going on my first trimester. the second trimester is smooth sailing, so that's something to look forward to :)

I'm happy to hear that things are looking up. It took me six months to come to grips with my pregnancy.
It's kind of hard to be excited when you spend all of your time sleeping feeling nauseous and puking, eh?

Hello :) How are you feeling? I remember early pregnancy only too well, the tiredness was the real killer for me! I hope you are looking after yourself and perhaps finally have a nice glow rather than the about to vomit green hue which plagues us in the first and second tri XxXxX
