Sung to the tune of the 12 days of Christmas
On the 4th day after childbirth
My boobs suddenly change:
They got ginormous,
They felt like concrete,
They hurt like hell,
And leaked everywhere...
Luckily for me, at the same time, baby had a growth spurt
And drank all the milk that I had!!! sigh

oh yes nothing says ouch like engorged breasts. rock on mama.
Ouch! In the UK we were told to put savoy cabbage leaves in our bras to help relieve engorgement - some weird enzyme apparently. It worked!!!
you are rad.
ouuuch... I know how it feels. Baby taking lunch remedies all that discomfort : )
I love your pic!
agreed with Jamie... you are totally rad.
Yup. That's what happened to me on Day 3!
And I stand by my claim that Lansinoh breast pads are the best!
I yes, I remember those engorged breast days and how good it felt when baby was hungry! I hope you are getting along OK with the breastfeeding. Enjoy every minute of your little girl xx
I remember them all too well, too! Very painful, but thankfully temporary (although it may seem interminable at the time!) Enjoy these precious early weeks. xx
me oh my. i cursed those angelic photos of mamas nursing their newborns. it so wasn't like that for me in the beginning. with each of my boys my milk came in less than 24 hours full force. for me birth was a breeze but my milk coming in was traumatic. it helped me so much to hear again and again that it is a short time and soon me and my leaky boobies and my babe would find our rhythm. it sounds like you guys are getting on alright. indeed you rock.
have you heard of lily padz? i tried them out for awhile my first time round. they weren't for me but lots of women really like how discreet they are.
Who knew a boob could feel like rock?! I was so astounded at the antics of my breasts - they didn't feel like part of me at all. Love the fact that you're continuing the belly shots in shrinkdown phase!
