Ok, it's not that bad! Not at all actually! I really like my new job (communication and marketing coordonator for an non profit organization that promotes sustainable transport in Montreal). It's just that, call me lazy, but I would much rather stay at home and craft all day long. But somebody has to pay for all that nice yarn and beautiful japanese fabric!
Speaking of nice yarn...now that I'm almost fully adapted to my new routine I had time to finished a lovely pair of fingerless mittens. My first project with double pointed needles! Well, I failed at another pair of mittens a few weeks ago but that's ancien history!
Im with you Claudia, craft all day :D Sounds like a great job though, best luck with it all! Super cute mitts too!
Welcome back to the rat race!!! I too could never get bored of craft! Congratulations on mastering dpns!
I've been dying to make myself a pair of fingerless mitts! Those look marvelous.
oh they turned out so cute claudia and yay for mastering the dpns!
Great work with the DPN's!
Have a good year at work! Your job sounds like a good one! Did you hear about the railways in Melbourne, Australia? It was so hot, the train tracks buckled and the roads melted! Not so good for the commuters!
oh yes...much nicer to stay at home and do arty stuff...but ur still making good things...those mittens are tres chic...
I'm in the same boat: a good job doing worthwhile work. But still, I'd much rather be at home doing my own thing.
Congrats on the Toasties (I just finished knitting a pair myself). They look super-cute with your striped t-shirt.
Congrats on the new job — sounds like a really great organization. Your fingerless mittens are adorable. I just learned to use DPN last year and now I'm addicted to making socks. There is just so much you can make with them. Have fun!
Yes, crafting all day sounds wonderful. I love this pattern. I made the other version but, plan to do this as well. A nice relaxing knit.
It's nice to read you again! I love your mittens, your fingers look very well with them ;).
I can't knit, but they look lovely. Congratulations on the new job - it sounds interesting. Just out of curiousity, how do you get to work?
i, too, would rather stay at home and craft all day (i wouldn't call that lazy at all!) but there are bills to be paid and fabric to be bought:) your fingerless mittens are lovely.
I'm so glad you're back, not to work but to your blog! I missed you...
one mitten failure, one fingerless glove success? I call them dang good odds! Congrats!
So glad you are back Clo, I missed you!! I hope you enjoy the job.
Looking good in those fingerless mitts! Glad to see you back in blogland.
I love the tea wallet - so cute! We made something like that for my aunt - so when she is in session with Parent / Teacher Conferences she can make them a cup of tea. Cute idea!
Anyway - Still waiting ever so patiently for those cross stitch designs. HINT HINT! :)
Good to see your blog again!
