Home sweet home

It's now official, Dan and I are now very poor...and a little overwhelmed. We wanted to move out this year (rent another apartment) but we didn't know that we were going to make the biggest purchased of our life. Last weekend, we visited an old candy factory (from 1908) that got transformed into condos and in less than an hour we made a 1000$ deposit. And the cool thing is that we are part of a program that advances 10% of the downpayment to people that are going to be owners for the first time. That's why we can buy our dream condo this year. We are moving in august 15th :)

Knowing that, I decided that join the "5 things group": Every week five things leave your home and are donated, sold on ebay, craigslisted etc. In my case, most of the things will be put in a box for our garage sale just before we move out. If any of you want the first 6 "Lines & Shapes" books just leave me a comment and I will pick a name next saturday (april 4th). Oh, and my financial calculator (those things are like 50$) is also available ;)

I do! I've only seen them online, but would love to be able to flip through them in person! Thanks for the chance!
Congrats on the home purchase - it's both exciting and scary at the same time, isn't it?

congrats again! we are hoping to buy a house this year too, there are so many programs in the US now to encourage new homeowners that it just seems like the perfect time. and the 5 things group seems like a great motivator to clear out some stuff. i'd love the lines and shapes issues!

Congrats! I would like to put my name down for the books. I'm in Montreal, so easy for pick-up. ;)

Congrats, congrats, congrats! Do my eyes mistake me or is that a three bedroom floor plan - enough for your very own craft room I hope? :) Anyhow, congrats again!

I love the "5 Things" concept and want to join as well, even though Peter and I are not moving anytime soon. I have been thinking about all the stuff that we will most likely get from the wedding and where we will put it all. Better start making room for it now!
