Birdies are ready for takeoff

I finally finished my ornaments for the swap (2nd holiday ornament swap) and I’m very happy with the results. Each bird is made out of felt and embroidery floss. The colors and the design are scandinavian inspired. It was really nice to see those little birdies slowly taking shape.

I now have to create nice gift tags and find pretty envelopes that will carry the ornaments to their final destination (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and USA). I should wait until at least december 1st to mail the packages to my swap partners (give them the time to get in the holiday mood) but it is going to be very difficult. I want to send them now, now, now!!!

How gorgeous! I would love to swap ornaments - I've got a spare ornament (Danish inspired) but trying to keep the final design secret from my group so it's not posted on the swap pool. If you want to see a pic and swap snailmail details please email me at tamara.dadswell@yahoo.com

Hello! Those little birds are lovely! I found you through the Yvestown-blog. I'm not a crafty woman, but I like to see new creations. Have a nice day, Marjolijn

I am decorating my entire tree with birds this year - it's too bad that I'm too late to do any trades!! These are wonderful - is this your pattern?
