Through the lens of a tiny camera

A challenge? A 365 photo challenge?? Why on earth are you doing that??? Actually, at the time, I had no idea. After 80 days, I still don’t really know what pushes me, everyday, to make a “tourist” of myself in my own city. I don’t want to become a professional photographer! As a matter of fact, I can’t remember the proper photography vocabulary and I carry around my tiny silver camera in an old beat-up mitten. However, if you ask me what my first thought in the morning is, I will have to say my daily picture. That’s too bad for my husband ;) My pictures are not showing trendy fashion, breathtaking landscapes or popular events. Taken separately, those images are just pictures taken with a basic digital camera. Taken together, they are a mirror of my life…one day at a time!

You should not judge a book (or a photo album) by its cover. Ok, but why would I want a boring cover when I can have a pretty one? The very talented Ingrid, from words starting with “p” are cute, sent me a few weeks ago the cutest little painting to put on my 365 photo challenge album. I totally see myself in that little "snow girl with camera". Thank you Ingrid :)

Great way to catalog your life - a photo journal. Also - I hope you don't mind I posted about your jacket and the store RW&CO. on my blog. Gave you credit of course. Love their stuff...just wish I was in Canada!

It's a great little picture and your photos are good too - the ordinary everyday things are often more impressive than many other photos!

You'll need to buy yourself a little red coat!!

Hmmm maybe not now, but in a couple of years you'll love what you're doing now. As woody Allen said, “Is a memory something you have or something you’ve lost?"

You're so very welcome for the snow girl! I love the way you've framed her -- she's got a great new home.

I've kind of been wanting to do the 365 project, but I'm a little scared. What if I miss a day? What if I'm totally uninspired? What if my photos suck? Yeesh. I should stop questioning myself so much.

I love your daily pictures. And I love your 365 album art. Very nice. Don't you think taking pictures makes you see and notice things in a different way?

I like seeing your pictures too! I have been attemptingto do 365 Days of my dog Tessa. I kind of cheated and put pictures on from the time she was a baby and am trying to catch up. Some of them are more recent pictures - but it is fun. Sometimes I miss days, but that's o.k., eventually it will be 365 days of Tessa. :)

Good idea to catalog your life!

I love how they look when they are all put together in a set.I like the fact we are just taking photos of our daily lives- I think they will be far more meaningful when we look back on them than just a series of perfectly composed/focused photos. Today I took so many photos, trying to get one to fit in with our theme- i'll post them soon.

Gorgeous snow girl! And I think Camilla is right - what's just a series of snaps now, might have more resonance in the future. At least, I hope so, because I'm struggling a little with motivation for my 365 just now.

You take beautiful photographs! I think the 365 day challenge is such a great thing to do. I wish I thought about doing it at the beginning of the year. I guess I could start any time, but starting on the first day of the first month seems "better" ;)

Your photos are so great, and I think you will surely enjoy later this project when looking back at the pics. And, talking about the mitten, so funny, I also often put the camera in a mitten. So warm, soft and cosy there.... ; ) Have a great weekend!
