A few weeks ago, I saw two dresses on the A.P.C. web page but I'm cheap and there is no way that I will pay more than a 100$ for a dress that comes from a "normal" store. It would be different if it was from a designer that made the dress in her little studio for exemple. Oh, and my wedding dress but it's also different (and it was made by a designer in her little studio)! So I decided to make my own version and combine the two dresses.
I'm SO happy with the result!!! I made it all by myself without my teacher...I can't wait to show him the dress in February. It took me about 5-7 hours and the fabric costs less than 15$. How cool is that! I'm now have a dress for the 24th (polka dot dress), the 25th (velvet dress) and the 26th (denim dress).

Its' beautiful! Congrats.
Wow! Did you use a pattern. You've come a long way in a very short period of time. Beautiful!
Oh my goodness, Clo! I love it! Did you use a Japanese book for the pattern? I'm amazed! Yours is way better than both of those dresses (the white one looks like a nightgown anyway!).
Love it! Absolutely love it. I'm so looking forward to taking some formal sewing classes so I can make my own creations!
Wow - it's beautiful! I am sure that your teacher will be impressed!! Have fun with all those holiday dresses!!
Your site is adorable. Love it.

Claudia,
I love it and it's so YOU! I can't remember if I sent you an e-mail about a package that I sent last week. I hope you get it before the end of the year....but I know from what you've said before that it takes time.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas...by the way - How do you say Merry Christmas in French? and a Happy New Year!
Love -
Erin
The dress is über cute and looks perfect on you! :-)
I'm not sure what I love more - your three dresses or your winter pictures! I love that you are cheap, and so talented to turn out those fab dresses. I think surely your sewing instructor will be impressed!
And those winter pictures - they are beautiful and peaceful - I love that flare one!
Merry Christmas Clo!
Your dresses are so amazing, much cuter than the original! Very nice. I think you're working up to having your own "little studio." And, Merry Christmas!
Merry xmas, have a super holidays and great 2009!1
Puri, Madrid, Spain!
Oooh, I love it! I'm pretty cheap too when it comes to clothing. I have no problem paying for quality, handmade designs, but when it comes to stuff you can buy at a mall, I tend to shudder at the ridiculous prices. You have totally inspired me to try and sew my own clothes again. If I can make something half as beautiful as one of your dresses, I'll be so happy.
Have a wonderful holiday and New Year!
P.S. You should totally make that Mac and Cheese — trust me, it's awesome!
Merry Christmas Claudia, hope you have a lovely relaxing time! And wow nice work with the dresses ;)

How funny - I printed out those exact dresses a couple of months ago to make a version myself too! Well done, it looks fab. I seriously think people who don't/can't sew really miss out.
