I'm an event planner! This is my job (well, when I work!). I love making plans to make sure that everything will be perfect! I'm actually very good at it! However, at home, I have a tendency to be very spontaneous. Like the day that I decided to make dark color stain touch ups to a little side table in our living room. Since I get hyper easily I accidentally dropped the bottle on our new wooden floor. The floor turned out to be ok but the sofa was not that lucky! A few drops (about 10-15) went on our new Ikea love seat cover. I could get another one but I don't have much money at the moment (it costs about 150$) so I had to find a creative solution.

A few months ago, I did research on how to hide cat claw damage on a sofa and I saw the cutest idea ever. So I contacted Lina and, lucky me, a few adorable doilies arrived in the mail! Thank you Lina!

What do you think (they are holding in place with pins at the moment...I needed some opinions first!).

Thank you xox

They look brilliant. And tell me if it works, because one end of our sofa is looking pretty cat-loved.

Super cute!

By the way, we have the same sofa (except mine is white). I'll have to remember this trick if ever I have a similar stain accident...

I love it! I have been wanting to find some of my deceased grandmother's doilies and use them in creative ways. I love when they are simply framed against a dark background.

It's worked for me-I say go for it! When I sewed the first doily on, I thought, either this is going to be cool or a total nightmare-but I'm so happy I did, and it turned out to be my most viewed photo ever. I think it looks lovely on your sofa!

Love this idea- I started to sew little patches of fabric onto my sofa cover (also from ikea, but not the same one) as the cat destroys it slowly- love this idea though, might have to steal it.
