Finally finished

After what seems like months...oh wait! it has been months...I finally finished my sleeveless sweater :) The pattern was very simple but most of the time I just didn't feel like working on it. I guess that I didn't get that instant gratification feeling that other projects normally give me. Sadly enough, I think that I'm the kind of person who needs to see positive results in order to go on. Now that it's all assembled (and that I can model it around my loft like a complete weirdo...I should put some music on!) I understand why many people start elaborate knitting projects. You don't get instant gratification but instead you have a real feeling of accomplishment. I think that I will start to work on another sweater but I will use thick yarn...just to give me a little encouragement! And even if I don't progress really fast, I have plenty of time to finished it before next fall!

Ah - a woman after my own heart! I too am into instant gratification - hence the reason I usually knit small things! Peeps have been what I was knitting all weekend - now I am on to knitting a kiwi! Had to try to learn how to do short rows for that one but don't think I really mastered it very well!

I like the look of your sleeveless sweater - where is the pattern from?

I have just started Juliet by Zephyr patterns (it's all over Ravelry) in a beautiful blue colour - it'll be the first time that I have ever knit anything for me to wear - other than hats and scarves!!

Love the belt too! Did you make it?

Very chic - and that belt!!!

I think that's why knitters always have a lot of ufo's. I have four sweaters I'm working on. Each a little different from the next. Sometimes it's nice to change things up a little. And I guess it kind of shows if you are a project or process knitter.

Love the belt by the way!

I love your sleeveless sweater. Great choice of color and I too love the neat edges. I can only hope one day to be able to do as well. But first I have to finish all of my other project! UGH! :) By the way - mailed something yesterday...Hmmm - let me know when it gets there.

I love it! It looks great on you. I have many unfinished knitting projects packed away somewhere because they were taking so long to finish. I stopped making adult sized sweaters because of it! I love making baby sweaters, they are so much quicker :)

Fantastic job! I love it! I'm planning to knit myself a vest once I finish my Hourglass Sweater and my Birdie mitts.

I've never managed to knit anything other than a scarf because I am too impatient to follow a pattern and wait to see what develops. I love the colour of the yarn you've used.

Bonjour Claudia,

Bravo pour ta réussite, je vois que ton chandail te fait très bien. Tant mieux si j'ai pu t'aider avec ce projet.

Continue ma belle, tu feras encore de très jolies tricots j'en suis certaine.

That dark grey colour is such a good choice and with the belt it looks also superb. Very neatly knitted, too!

OMG you have big talent girl, the sweater is gorgeous and I love the neck line, it is so pretty. The belt is adorable and the colours are perfect with the jeans and sweater.
Very fashionable!!

Well done! I can't knit for too long, I get really bored.

Did you make your belt? I love it! I'm trying to think up new ways to make belts, as I love splashes of colour! Take care xoxo

ah, the last time I knit something - I was in high school, and I knit all these black squares and then stitched them into a sweater - it was cool, and I wore it a lot, but it was definitely the only way I could knit and feel like I was getting anywhere!! I, too, am a bit fan of much more instant gratification!
