Hello midnight sun!

In a few days, braving my irrational fear of plane trips, I will head to London (4 days) and Reykjavik (3 days). Why such a short trip? Simply because I don't want to leave my puppy dog for a long period! I won't cry when my mom will pick him up tomorrow (ok, maybe I will) but I don't want Brian to feel like I abandoned him. I know it's silly but what can I say!!! Oh, yes...I also have a cat but Mr. Poon is a big boy and the worst thing that can happen is that he might bite and/or claw my mother! Anyway, last summer during our trip to Sweden, I had a difficult time sleeping because the sunset would be at 11:00 pm and the sunrise at 3:00 am. To avoid the the dark circles under my eyes (don't look pretty on pictures!!!) I decided that a sleeping mask would be an important accessory to bring with me. One last thing, taking a self-portrait, without a tripod and with your eyes closed is NOT a good idea! See you in a week :) xox

Seems like you are well prepared for your trip!! I hope that the weather is kind - it hasn't been particularly kind here in Scotland - the longest day somewhat spoiled by heavy rain from 5pm to 7am! I can never get used to day-light till 1030pm - luckily I have shutters on my bedroom window so it is always dark! In case I forget before you go- have a great trip! I can't wait to hear about it!

Have fun! I wish I was going to London for 4 days, you lucky girl!!
I know it's hard but try not to worry about Brian. You will probably come home to a very spoiled dog.;)

Clo - have a great time in London and then in Iceland. I'm jealous! Hey! Brian could come stay with me and Tessa! :) Hope you and Dan have a great time! Love the eye mask...I was thinking of making one of those a while back...but couldn't find a pattern.

oh that sleeping mask is adorable. I'd be ok with a skirt, top, purse... just about anything made in that fabric :)

I'm quite jealous that you get to take such a fab holiday, even if it is a somewhat short one. Have fun!

I'm still impressed by the self-portrait. Pretty sure I would have only gotten my chin or maybe the top of my head.

I would totally need one of those eye masks and I like the fabric choice. Have a great trip. Brian will miss you but he'll be fine.

Enjoy your trip!

I wanted my husband to wear one of those masks (he sleeps during the day), but he refused. I had to spend months searching for heavy curtains instead... That fabric is so cute.
